Consumers demand high-quality service and increasingly look for professional credentials. Promote exceptional professional standards in funeral preplanning by earning the internationally recognized CPC designation. The CPC Standards Manual review seminar is held on Saturday and the exam is given on Sunday. You must be eligible to participate. Applications are available at www.nfda.org/continuing-education/certification. The updated manual, published in 2013, is the basis for the exam. Approved for up to 8 CE hours by APFSP and licensing boards in most states and provinces.

Cost: $395 NFDA/CANA members and qualifying nonmembers / $540 nonmember funeral directors; includes refreshments and lunch.

Embalming, Reconstructive and Airbrush Techniques
1 – 5 p.m.

This seminar will give you a large amount of technical information on procedures that professional embalmers perform on severe trauma cases in an effort to provide an open-casket viewing for family and friends. Airbrush cosmetics will be discussed and demonstrated with live models. These techniques assist in improving the appearance of a decedent. The seminar will also offer methods to promote the value of embalmers' skills to the public. (4 CE hours)
